    What if...I was thinking a LOT about what you said about stopping rushers/blitzers. Perhaps the answer doesn't lie in the design/gauntlet (since we can't magically create more land). Perhaps it is in our gun setup?? Check out what I did. i realize that is a HUGE gun clump...but, it is just for concept purposes. It also makes all my guns unpreppable cuz there isn't anything on the peninsulas that can be sniped. here's a pic of my idea...I'll need your excel expertise to make it happen, but, I think I'm onto something here. 4 sents and 2 vm's would provide some serious backwater firepower and they do a half decent job covering the front corners too. here you go:

    Just wanted to say I attacked a base yesterday where the back bay only looked 2 wide + land strip + couple wall spaces = SFB3 did not reach. This may free up some land if this is true. I tested your design with sent4's and teh distance is perfect IMO...so, I'm not sure why other ppl get away with 2 water tiles while we have to maintain 3. Something to look into...

    In response to your response, yes i have noticed that ff's or hh's with siege mortars make my base look like i was level 10 again. On a side note, do you know if the new ablative paneling for turrets helps against big rockets, or only shipboard weapons? Screenshot to of base to come soon. I haven't figured out a way to get a fullscreen zoomed out view of the base yet.

    Hey, I've got a base that i based off of your OP5 v.5 design, and tweaked it afterward. With my revised design and even with only level 3 weapons and towers, i can easily hold off lvl 37 FF fleets. I haven't incorporated any tower defenses into the design, but I have a solid platform to work on and improve. Send me a PM if you'd like to check out my design.

    well, he may not let me copy/paste cuz he doesn't want his secret out...apparently he used MSExcel and the whole nine yards. think large square but jagged where it touches the borders. Op and (only 4 WH...another drawback) fit in middle with all the walls around that "perimeter" and BR/Flak for each WH. In his case he uses multiple BR/Flaks for defense inside his "perimeter". Then just sprinkle RG's and labs evenly around it. OP can't be reached (or at least I couldn't in my tests for him). WH can be reached but BR/Flak and 40% fortification take it FOREVER! At most I'm guessing someone can get one WH if they pound it...but that will likely trigger DP and the attacker gets away with only one WH. What was interesting to me was the concept that even if you lose...you win (so to speak) cuz no one can ever "level" your WH/OP completely. This idea may be why they wont' give us more land...cuz ppl like this would make MASSIVE squares impossible to reach the goodies.
