I posted this on the sticky rather than in a new thread because that is what stickies are for. So mods closed the sticky and told me it was a performance issue. Blatantly no attempt to read my post because in there I explained how it could not be a performance issue as it worked initially and gradually stopped working one system at a time, in all browsers and one machines far faster than my home PC or laptop which can still play the game perfectly. Others have said the same but are being ignored. So here is one last attempt before I give up on this otherwise great game. Mods - you can see how much time I have put into investigating this so why don't you encourage the coders to put some effort in and earn their pay?

The problem summarised: when I attack a yard my monsters can be flung but do not react at all (this is not a freeze as they "dance" but do not move around or get shot)
The fixes I have tried summarised: different browsers, automated and manual clearing of browser caches, clearing of Flash cache, changing Flash settings. So please don't tell me to try these and do not claim it is a performance issue as the game worked perfectly for weeks on the same system with nothing changing.
What happened
I played BYM on Facebook for a few weeks with only occasional issues/minor bugs which I could live with as everyone else does. I play mostly on Firefox both at home and work. At home I use Windows 7 and Linux on two very old and slow systems. At work I use maybe half a dozen different computers but all are identical (imaged setups) Windows 7 systems. Fairly early on the Win7 computer I occasionally use in one room began to have the above mentioned problem (no attacks working) which so many other people have had. This happens with any number (1 to all I can send) of monsters and/or my Gorgo and regardless of who I attack. It also happens both in the Map Room 1 map and the Map Room 2 map attacks. What interested me most and suggests a clue to me is that the yard being attacked loads almost completely but none of the other player's (or wild tribes) monsters appear (champions or normal) in their enclosures. This makes me think the yard is not fully loading and the attack doesn't start because of that. Any of my attacking monsters drop in but then just sit there. I can wait the full duration of the attack but my monsters do nothing and defensive towers do not fire. If I give up and click End attack then, in the instant before the loading screen appears, all the monsters int he yard being attacked appear as if the blocked loading cleared just too late.
My work environment has roaming profiles so it is interesting that all other systems continued to work for a few days and presumably this rules out registry settings. A little later (days) a system in another room started to have this problem and now pretty much all the ones I use do with each one dropping out after a few days. I can still try any new computer which I have not used before and the game will work well.
On the systems where attacks fail I have tried at least three browsers (IE8, FF7 and Chrome) plus two portable browsers run off of an external hard drive (FF & Chrome and, I think Opera). There is no difference - the problem persists. I can still try a new computer and have it work but not my normal ones. The problem initially occurred when playing on Facebook as I only started G+ after that to see if that worked and it did not so it would not seem to be a game account issue.
Remember also that I continue to play at home on the Win 7 PC and Ubuntu laptop with attacks working.
I have no access rights to uninstall and reinstall Flash Player at work but I have cleared the cache on each browser (not that I can see how that would affect different browsers on which I have never played the game). I have done this automatically and manually. Also the portable browsers delete their caches on exit anyway.
I have changed the local storage settings in the flash player to 10MB (version 10.3.183.5). I even disabled hardware acceleration. No change.
The game (both Google+ and Facebook) continues to work fine at home under the same OS (Windows 7) and the same browser versions and flash player version (including the portable ones which are literally the same) and on lesser hardware.
Each fix I try I test the game and nothing makes any difference. I did manage to get the problem fixed briefly yesterday but that was after changing nothing since the last test. Maybe some combination of fixes worked after a delay but if so I have not been able to duplicate the effect. In fact today I have tried those same things and managed to stop the game loading altogether! So now I can't play at all.
I'm out of ideas but will not be playing the game unless I can find a fix (which is a shame as I enjoyed it).
If a mod tells me to try the things I have already said I have tried I will hunt them down and hurt them badly:-(
