It won't work! I tried to add an image, but it comes out as a blank! Help!

i dont understand. im using a Windows 7 laptop, so my print screen is on the F11 button. i tried ctrl-prnt scrn, but that didnt do anything.
could it be a little more detailed? (unless thats all u have to do, press prnt screen and open up paint)
this may sound stupid but how do i crop in paint
okay.... Just to be sure, superbman, you pasted the image on paint?
cuz on my windows xp, i push print screen, which apparently copies your page, and then i pasted on paint.
Meta, there should be a little square in your toolbar full of the brush, spray paint, ect, and on the top right corner, there should be a square outlined with dotted lines, which after you click on it, drag the box so it covers the useless parts. Then delete them.
If I'm correct.
Also help with my pics not showing up would be helpful.

There's some free software which I use a lot both at work & home ... MWSnap
Very simple to use ... just draw a box round what you want an image of ... then either copy & paste ... or in this case "save as" a file & follow original thread to create a URL
Saves all the messing around with cropping & Paint IMHO ... guess you'd need to use Paint if you wanted to black something out, but most posters don't seem to bother these days anyway.

My only suggestion would be do 'save as' and change the format to JPEG. Paint defaults to Bitmap.
Small loss in Quality but much smaller file size and therefore upload time
