Not too hard to do."

    "They go for the closest*, it just so happens that the closest will also be the first to shoot at them in most cases.

    On whining and complaining about how long the updates take to come.
    One user stated, "i want you guys to hurry and make the wild monster baiter already ive waited for months but you guys still don't have it"

    He looks up him log in and play information and replies: (sick burn)

    On a monster breeder/morpher/customizer. Anything involving creating custom looking monsters.

    On a Zoom function
    "Backyard Monsters uses bitmaps instead of vectors as it uses less CPU to draw and can have more detail, texture and things like shadows and shading.
    Sadly if you were to zoom in you would not get more detail, instead it would get blocky.
    You could move your face closer to your screen though, that would work."

    On adjusting the DP percentages because too many people are in DP
    "I will adjust damage protection from base damage % in the next update.
    Currently set to 25% damage = 12 hours, 50% damage = 24 hours. I will change it to 60% = 12 hours and 80% = 24 hours.
    The protection from 4 attacks in an hour / 10 attacks in a day will remain unchanged."

    On attacking others while they are online
    "It would be VERY annoying if you logged on to spend 5 minutes doing some banking, picking and maybe starting some upgrades to get locked out while someone attacked you (we can't let you play while your attacked cos what would you do? Move towers? Repair? That's unfair to the attacker) so to benefit those who only can snatch a few minutes a day to play we have the simple rule that you can't attack someone while they are working on their yard. We may change this in the future, it's not yet decided."


    On repairs starting automatically after a battle is over
    "Pressing a "Repair all" button and waiting a bit is no where near as harsh as other similar games where a destroyed building is just that, destroyed, lost, for good. Plus it rewards the players who put in more effort to visit often."

    On the complaints about how long the Monster Bunker is taking to develop
    "Yes it's not just a case of another building (sketching out, modeling in 3D, texturing, rendering, importing into game) but also requires a UI in the game to select monsters to add/remove and this will be the first time monsters attack monsters (moving targets, not static buildings) so there is a lot of work to be done for that. Plus we have to then balance it so the game does not shift too much in the favor of the defender.
    I may remove the "coming soon" as we have a few more things to do before we tackle the bunker." (Bunker already here)

    About using putty or goo as ammo for the towers
    "We did think about using pebbles for amo and loading towers with them but felt it was too complicated for players to manage."

    On complaining about the updates not having what you want in them
    "Can't please everyone"

    On dealing with Cheaters (Auto-Refreshers)
    "And we log when people reload the game. Frequent reloading at fixed intervals with no actions taking place = we will suspend your account. We will be doing this soon."

    3. You can get attacked by a lot of D.A.V.E.s but WM D.A.V.E.S.s are softer and we decide how many to send based on your defenses.
    4. If you want to reduce the strength of the next attack tell them to back off when the attack is over and the popup opens."
    "Smallest gap between wild monster attacks is 6 hours. Are you sure it was 2?
    Yes, at high levels there are a lot of D.A.V.E.s but they are level 1 and you should be able to crush them. Also all WM retreat after a bit."

    On the request that Dave respond more often to ideas
    "I do reply to as many things as I can, we also have Backyard Bob monitoring the forums, our get satisfaction page and the emails to feed me common problems / concerns."

    On the inability to understand pathing
    "I'm working on it, last few updates have included minor tweaks and I will continue to tweak the pathing and target selection in pretty much every update we do."

    On the catapult not being worth use, having a sliding scale of resources for the catapult and flinging putty and goo
    "The problem is to how to best communicate the damage a sliding scale will do. I do plan to add the ability to fling in putty to enrage your monsters and goo to heal them."
