    Let's count: pathing problems

There have been *numerous* reports of monsters taking the clearly longer path, ignoring nearby buildings etc., but I would really like to try and measure just how many we are with this problem. In short:

VOTE "I have had pathing problems" if you have had them

Here's a list of the most commonly encountered problems:
    - monsters without target preferences do NOT attack the next closest building but go for a far away one
    - monsters take the slow but wall-free route to a target when there would be a much shorter one if they just punch down one wooden block
    - monsters nonsensically stop to attack wall blocks which are NOT in their path in any way
    - monsters just walk in circles
    - monster change course midway with no reason (no block being knocked down or stuff like that)

Optionally, feel free to add to this list. I will edit the post accordingly.

I've heard rumors about some monsters walking around in circles aimlessly... never happened to me though.

I've had monsters change walk in circles, or start in one direction and then decide to go another. I'd actually like to go back to the old pathing. It wasn't perfect but it's better than the new and "improved" one.

you know there are varying degrees of issues. Definitly more than just yes or no.

Sure, but nothing prevents anyone from detailing what their problem is in a post. I would like to count how many people have problems at all.

I've not noticed it when attacking. Monsters have gone where I expected them to. Have definitely noticed it when looting though. Strangest one was where two D.A.V.E.'s and 20 finks, destroyed a flinger right between 2 silos, then ignored both silos, walked half way across the base, broke through a wall to get out, and started attacking buildings (started with hatcheries) on the outside.

I've had both the random attack on a wall blocks that was part of a perimeter wall once the crabs & ichis were inside the perimeter with all the towers, and some pacing back and forth before the finks decided to go attack a resource gatherer some distance away instead of the adjacent silo.

    All the OP issues, plus:

My monsters have gone out of their way to nonsensically knock down a wall, only to walk BACK to the original path point, and THEN proceed towards the targets, suffering damage all along the way.
They seem to REALLY hate the stone ones more. I have had a crab group eat through 3 layers of wooden walls right next to a snipe, and then walk back out towards the yard edge, walk 90° CW around the yard core and then walk in to attack THE SAME SNIPE.

In addition, there seems to be a bias against attacking monster yards if any other building is anywhere near, even when yard is much closer to the fling point. Since there was a lot of whining about anti-yard nuisance attacks, this may be intentional.

er i've noticed the contrary my monsters mostly banditos cause i like them but they seem to intentionally eat towards the center where the monster yards are and destroy them before they move on the the resource generators which were closer to the previously destroyed buildings by over a block length on several occasions
